Baars & Bloemhoff supply decorative sheet materials; the kind of materials that we often use in our interiors and love to work with. That’s probably why they asked us to design their expo space for Design District; an interior trade event in the Netherlands.
We juxtaposed grey and blue shades to create an intriguing abstract landscape. In this landscape we combined two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects with similar lines, volumes and shadows. The eye gets lost and hardly sees the difference anymore. Is it flat or does it have volume? And if you look at it from another angle, everything seems to change again. A real eye catcher with a hallucinating effect.
